Meet the Minister
International neuroscientist program to bring world's best to Alberta
I’m proud to announce a new program that will enable neuroscientists from around the world to share their knowledge and expertise with Alberta researchers. Campus Alberta Neuroscience International Scholars program will serve as a lasting tribute to Harley Hotchkiss, the late Calgary business and community leader, who died in June 2011.
Our government is proud to commit $5 million to the program, which will build upon private-sector contributions collected by the University of Calgary’s Hotchkiss Brain Institute.
Students, researchers and scholars from all over the world will now be able to gather and share information and findings that will go on to help many Albertans who suffer from a variety of neurological conditions. I know Harley Hotchkiss would have approved.
